Using the scissors for Screen-capturing

When working on compounded documents, it is convenient to use Scissors for selecting and copying desired portion of screens into the clipboard. The method of making a screen-copy is identical as the method of making the Vidi window (see Using the scissors-nib for cutting the window ). Instead of acknowledging the «copy to clipboard», «save to file» or «edit picture» menu item. Optionally a keyboard-shortcut CTRL-C, CTRL-S or CTRL-E can be used for that purpose.

Using the Scissor menu item Primary use, it is possible to reconfigure default function for green selection button.

If Scissor is configured “Create Vidi, the accept cursor shows Vidi accept button (graphic).

If Scissor is configured “Capture screen, the accept cursor shows clipboard (graphic).

If Scissor is configured “Save capture, the accept cursor shows storage media icon (graphic).

If Scissor is configured “Edit picture, the accept cursor shows picture editor icon (graphic).

Primary scissor use is set according to the currently selected menu item and green button gets the appropriate default (primary) function.

Remark: Owners of the basic version can use scissors for Screen-capturing only, and they may use click on the acknowledge button or CTRL-C keyboard shortcut to copy desired portion of the screen into the clipboard. CTRL-S keyboard shortcut can be used to save a cut into a file. CTRL-E opens a cut within a picture editor.
