Free and polygonal drawing
1.) Default freeform drawing mode is free drawn. The shape in this mode is formed from all
points that mouse pointer visit on the screen during drawing.
2.) Alternate mode is Polygonal drawing mode. The shape is formed by the points, which has
been acknowledged with second mouse button, when first button is pressed simultaneously.
It is possible to draw in polygonal, free drawing mode or a mixture of both simultaneously
without changing the menu setting.
Dragging a mouse with both buttons pressed switches “on fly” (and temporarily -until both
mouse buttons down) between drawing modes. If for example the menu drawing mode is
polygonal, then both mouse buttons dragging draws in free mode. If menu drawing mode is
free, then both mouse buttons dragging draws in polygonal drawing mode.
Curve precision, roundness and course
Default curve precision is 17 points, which means, the shape is formed by those points, which
distance is at least 17 points to each other. Less points means more precise curve around
selected object. Both parameters can be altered using the keyboard.
Default curve roundness is 4% and is the tension of the curve between approximation points in
percent. When this parameter is set to 0, curve has no tension and shape is drawn as usual
polygon.
Set curve Course Straight sets
the curve roundness to 0 and Set curve Course Rounded sets the
curve roundness to value defined with parameter Roundness.
