Using the scissors-nib for cutting

Basic knowledge of scissors functions has been explained in preceding chapters. This chapter explains more detailed how to select and cut particular areas of the screen and consequent usage scenarios.

As already indicated, the scissor needs to be switched in one of three cutting modes, they needs to be placed to the desired position and they needs to be opened in order to perform cutting. To make the entire “process” of all mentioned preparations easier and faster, it is convenient using both mouse buttons.  First mouse button moves the scissors-nib to desired starting-position for cutting, the second mouse button opens the scissors and cutting can begin.

The cutting sequence consists of three steps:

1.    Moving the nib to the desired window position.

2.    Selecting cutting area

3.    Acknowledging or cancelling the proposed cut

The selection procedure differs slightly depended from the chosen cutting mode. The procedure of selecting and cutting an area for any cutting mode is explained in subsequent sections.
